Solomon's Sayings

From the book of Proverbs

by Frances Jones

Solomon's Sayings is the second of three inspirational booklets designed to be carried in one's pocket.
It has an uncontrolled vocabulary loosely correlated to Skill Book 2 and City Living in the Laubach Way to Reading Series.
Words not in Skill Book 2 or City LIving are listed in the back of the book.
Quotations are from the Today's English edition of the Bible.

Proverbs 11:27

If you are looking for trouble,
that is what you will get.

If you plan to do good,
persons will respect you.

But if you are planning trouble,
trouble will come to you.

The Bible says:
The person who brings
trouble on the family
will end up with nothing.

A person who brings trouble to others
brings hurt on himself.
But a person who does good
brings good to himself.

Something to Think On

When did you go looking for trouble?
Did you get it?

When did you do good?
Did good come back to you?

Say this: I will do good to one person.
